Meet Linda

"Life is not easy for those who dream." There are many challenges university girls face especially when it comes to money. Linda (21) shares her experience with a lady that found her at her shop. The lady wondered why Linda is struggling to sell clothes because she's a very beautiful girl. "I can link you up with an mp who will pay a lot of money to sleep with you" the lady so bluntly suggested. No judgement to all the girls that fall for such suggestions, she turned down the offer because of pride that comes with working for her own money.
She started her business late 2012 after her mother got into an accident and most of the family's funds were spent on her hospital bill. She found it hard to ask for pocket money when she was a freshman at University. She would buy a dress at sh.200 and sell to her friends around sh.800 then use the profit to take care of herself. At the begining it was just about having pocket money but Linda fell in love with business. She saved up sh.5000 and got enough stock, opened an instagram page and thats how Rigia Fashions begun.
"It was not always easy, friends and family are the most discouraging but,do your thing and believe in yourself" she says. Now her business is doing well and she has never asked for a single coin from anyone since she started. She managed to pay her school fees recently and acquire her own shop. She's not done yet! Not even close! She has plans to expand her bussiness and design clothes herself(already studying design). This is a young entrepreneure I find committed, optimistic and passionate about what she's doing (wait till you see how she treats her customers! :-) ) I wish her all the best and have no doubt she will make it!
